BRANCH MANAGER (Saginaw, MI): 
W.W. Williams is hiring a Branch Manager for their full-service repair facility.  W.W. Williams works primarily on engine overhauls and maintenance for diesel engines, heavy-duty transmissions, and/or related equipment used in the operation of trucks, generators, buses and other equipment. 
The Branch Manager directs and coordinates activities of the location, and works in cooperation with the Sales Department, to develop and maintain a satisfied and loyal customer base through excellent customer service by performing the following duties personally and through subordinate managers.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
  • Formulates the branch business forecast and annual marketing plan.
  • Reviews monthly operating results against forecast, to identify areas of focus and improvement.
  • Coordinates completion of marketing and sales activities with the divisional sales department to achieve top line revenue dollars.
  • Enforces the adherence to company policy by personnel at the branch to assure compliance with internal and external safety, environmental and fiscal standards.   Responds to exceptions found through internal or external audits to correct failure of the location to comply.
  • Participates in establishing long-range goals, objectives and/or strategies, and communicates them to Support Center personnel in a way that motivates them to achieve them.
  • Analyzes activities, costs, operations, and/or forecast data to determine Support Center's progress toward divisional and corporate initiatives. (e.g. Productivity, implementations, technician recruitment and retention, etc.) Leads related change efforts at the local level.
  • Recommends and implements corrective action or procedural changes based on findings of above analyses. Monitors success of these changes to assure continuous improvement.
  • Resolves escalated customer or employee issues to result in the best possible outcome, satisfied and loyal customers and employees.
  • Maintains facility and equipment to corporate standards and specifications; negotiates with local providers of services and/or repairs to keep facility/equipment expenses within budgets.
  • Promotes and/or hires qualified candidates for Support Center job openings. Evaluates employees' performance and creates development plans to improve their performance in their current role or to prepare them for a future role.   Analyzes the need to add or replace positions, justifying these changes through the approval process.
  • Confers with President/General Manager and other divisional staff personnel to review operational performance and discuss required changes in goals or objectives resulting from current status and conditions.
Education/Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree (B.A) from a four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Successful candidate should have knowledge of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, SXTrend inventory and order processing system, manufacturing software and Human Resource Systems.
