Off-Hwy Mobile MTU Technician
Off-Highway Mobile MTU Technician Opportunity Summary:
The Off-Hwy Mobile MTU Technician will perform rebuild services on heavy mine equipment, diesel engines, and MTU 4000. Off-Hwy Mobile MTU Technician is responsible for accurately troubleshooting, repairing, and diagnosing both routine maintenance and emergency services while making repair recommendations to customers, to ensure all work scheduled is performed safely and to the customer's satisfaction. This is a mobile service position.
Job Duties:
- Troubleshooting, cleaning, disassembling, evaluating, and determining repairs and parts needed by manufacturers' re-usability guidelines.
- Create a job plan based on diagnosis to include repair operations and anticipated repair hours needed to complete repair.
- Rebuilding engines from disassembly to re-assembly and dyno testing.
- Preparing inspections, troubleshooting, and teardown reports.
Work Experience & Qualifications:
- 3+ years' experience with MTU diesel engines.
- Requires ability to work independently in performing repairs and maintenance, including strong knowledge of diesel engines and electronics.
- Computer and software skills including Microsoft Office Suite.
